<P align=justify>인도주의실천의사협의회(인의협), 민주사회를 위한 변호사모임(민변), 인권단체연석회의는 3일 서울 통인동 참여연대 느티나무홀에서 기자회견을 열어 이런 내용의 최루액 성분 분석 결과를 내놓았다.<br />

<P align=justify>경찰청은 이에 대해 “디클로로메탄은 산업 현장에서도 사용한다”며 “경찰의 최루액(최루성분 분말:디클로로메탄=2:8)을 분사해서 사람이 흡입할 수 있는 양을 측정한 결과 산업안전보건법상 기준치의 2만분의 1에 불과했다”고 밝혔다. 또 “평택에서는 최루액과 물을 1 대 100으로 섞어 사용하기 때문에 인체 유해성은 낮다”고 덧붙였다.<br />
<P align=justify>그러나 임 소장은 “산업안전보건법은 산업 현장의 조건에 견줘 만든 최소의 기준일 뿐, 발암 추정물질을 인체에 노출시키지 않는 것이 원칙”이라며 “경찰이 유해물질을 노조원에게 투여한 것 자체가 문제”라고 말했다.<br />
